Take a look below at some of the events we've had the pleasure of hosting at The Oyster Bar.
In 2019, Glasgow was decended upon by The Diageo World Class competition, which was hosted at SWG3 and we were lucky enough to be part of a series of events hosted by Ketel One.
The first was the Ketel One Square Mile iniative.
Ketel One challenged nine bartenders across the UK to seek out a community local & unique to them to source their ingredients from, and make some delicious drinks - our very own Drew Gray from The Finnieston Bar & Restaurant was one of them!
Drew accepted the challenge and sourced ingredients for four different cocktails from within one mile of The Oyster Bar!
He chose to showcase the best of what the local area had to offer including; Rocket Monkey Coffee, Demijohn - The Liquid Deli, Rapscallion Soda and foraged ingredients from Maxime Jay.
The Highland Liquor Company took over Kru for one night to showcase their premium hand-crafted dry gin, Seven Crofts.
Seven Crofts Gin, which launched at the end of 2019, has already secured listings within flagship bars both in the UK and beyond.
The launch showcased the gin in a number of classic serves created by Highland Liquor Company and the bartenders of The Oyster Bar and The Finnieston Bar & Restaurant.
The second event we hosted for Ketel One during the Diageo World Class Cocktail Competition featured nine of the UK’s best bartenders from across the country serving up original drinks created especially for the Ketel One Square Mile project – a community-driven approach to sourcing ingredients and working locally to create cocktails.
Guests tasted an eclectic and inspiring menu that showcased the unique communities hiding in plain sight all across the UK, from Nottingham to London - Edinburgh to Essex.
The takeover saw the launch of the first secret late-night Kitchen Disco speakeasy, hidden within the walls of Kru, complete with DJs, disco balls and much more.
